Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details such as name, email address, and notification preferences.
• Pickup, drop-off, delivery instructions, status history, and proof-of-delivery records.
• Payment and payout information processed by Stripe. Vela does not store complete card or bank-account numbers.
• Courier profile, vehicle, availability, and application information.
• Diagnostic information used to operate and secure the service.
• Sponsorship inquiry information submitted through our partner form.
• When advertising is enabled, cookies, advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, consent choices, and ad interaction data processed by advertising providers.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, quote and fulfill deliveries, process payments and payouts, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain records, and improve reliability. When advertising is enabled, we may use advertising data to display and measure ads. Vela does not provide delivery addresses, private delivery history, payment information, or proof-of-delivery media to advertisers for ad targeting.

3. Advertising and sponsorships

Vela may display clearly labeled sponsorships from organizations relevant to merchants or couriers. Following a sponsor link takes you to that sponsor's website, where its own privacy policy applies.

Public resource pages may use Google AdSense. A future native-app release may use Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar technologies to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads, depending on your location and consent choices.

4. Service providers

• Supabase for database and authentication.
• Stripe for payments, courier identity verification, and payouts.
• Resend for transactional email.
• OpenStreetMap services for mapping and address search.
• Vercel for hosting and delivery.
• Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostics.
• Google AdSense and Google AdMob when their respective advertising features are activated.

5. Cookies, consent, and advertising identifiers

Vela uses essential storage for authentication and preferences. When web advertising is activated, Google and approved advertising partners may place or read cookies. When native-app advertising is activated, providers may access the device's advertising identifier. Where required, Vela presents consent or privacy choices before requesting personalized ads. You may also use your browser, device, or Google settings to limit personalized advertising.

6. Data retention and deletion

Account data is retained while an account is active. Delivery records are generally retained for three years for operations, disputes, accounting, and legal obligations. Advertising providers apply their own retention periods. Request access, correction, export, or deletion at privacy@veladispatch.com.

7. Security

Vela uses HTTPS, authenticated access, database access controls, restricted service credentials, and third-party payment processing. No online system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access to the information needed for each workflow.
